My parents, along with my nephew Dylan, came down on Thursday night, around 8:30 pm, and left right after we had lunch out following the early service today. By the time they got here Thursday night, Sarah was already in bed, so they got to see her Friday morning. After waiting for the UPS man to drop off a belated b-day gift my parents had shipped, we headed to the pool. We spent almost 3 hours at the pool. It was a blast.
On Saturday, around 9:30 am, we headed to The Kentucky Horse Park which was hosting Breyerfest. Breyerfest is a display of many different types of horses along with dog agility competitions, mounted police, petting zoo, pony rides, and pig races.
We had a great time and can't wait to go back next year!! The best part about it was that it only cost 80.00 for the 7 of us. It is 20.00 per adult and 6 and under are free!! Everyone gets a horse figure and horse key chain. The adult ones are smaller and more for display while the child ones are ones they can play with!! Well worth the cost of the adult tickets!! Thank Mom and Dad!!
We visited the petty zoo, Dylan rode a horse, watched the pig races, and watched the dog agility competition, but the highlights of the day for everyone were the miniature horses and watching Dylan try to jump over child size horse jumps. Bekah didn't want to leave the miniature horse show, and Dylan kept wanting to jump over the jumps.
All-in-all, it was a great day for being outside. We got home around 4, I think, cooked dinner, had a fire, roasted marshmallows, played cards, and went to bed.
After the early service this morning, we went to Macaroni Grill and then they left. They headed back to catch the Columbus Crew soccer game. It was great to see you Mom, Dad, and Dylan!! Thanks for visiting us!!
