And I'm doing okay. I'm not completely exhausted every day. I am still getting some quality time with Bekah, and about an hour each day with Bobby. My kids are okay, but not easy. I am really looking forward to this weekend. It will be the first holiday weekend in a while that we haven't travelled. I'm looking forward to just spending it with Bekah and Bobby. :~)
Here are a few pictures from last week.
P.S. If you ever wonder and don't know, the reason there aren't very many pictures with Bobby or I in the picture it's because we're only home together with her (except for 10-15 minutes daily) on the weekends. We'll try to take a few over this long weekend with more than Bekah in the picture. Not my belly yet though. I'm already in all maternity clothes at 8 weeks, but the belly's not big enough to take a picture.
To keep our family and friends that are near and far up-to-date on the silliness of our kids!

Bekah has changed so much in less than a year
I cannot believe how much more hair Bekah has today (22.5 months) than when she turned 1 year old. It's amazing. We thought she would never have hair, it was taking so long to come in. She still hasn't had a hair cut. Lots of other things have changed, but the hair is so drastic most recently.

Another Day Comes to An End
Another day comes to an end, and tomorrow will be the end of the second week of school. Only 34 to go. 28 for me. This week has been rough and uneventful. This is why I have not posted. Monday-Wednesday were really hard with the pregnancy. I've been very sick. Eating constantly just so I don't throw up. Today was OKAY, but now that I'm home I'm feeling bad again. Bekah slept through the night last night, so it really helped me get the sleep I've needed. For those of you that don't know, Bekah started sleeping through the night at 4 months, but recently she's been getting up in the middle of the night energized, no matter what time she went to bed. If she goes to bed at 8, she gets up at 2. If she goes to bed at 11, she gets up at 2. It doesn't seem to make a difference. But last night she slept from 9:45-7:30. Yeah!! This means I got about 7.5 hours of sleep. Bobby and I went to bed early (around 11:30) for a change. Anyways, enough ramblings about today. Enjoy the pictures from this week.

Day 3 Comes to an End
School day #3 is over, only 172 days (with kids) left for all the other teachers but me. If this next baby comes on time, not early, I will only be there for 135-140 more days. Day 3 was a lot less tiring than day 4, because I had my planning at the end of the day and could sit down and get work done instead of standing and teaching till 3:25. Bekah took an earlier nap, so hopefully I can get her to go to sleep at a decent hour, unlike last night. I just finished giving her a bath because she decided she needed to put a nickle in her mouth and chocked on it and threw up all over my bed and floor in my room. What fun!! I'm just thankful that I didn't get sick and throw up too. I was even able to finish eating my dinner afterwards. Little blessings.
Have a great Friday all my teacher friends out there!!!

Reading with Mom
Bekah has these books that have pictures of tons of things!! Animals, colors, household items, you name it, it is in the book. They're sort of like Baby Einstein books. She points at all the pictures and has you name them. She knows many of them because of asking over, and over, and over again. |

I am Finished.......
With the basic assignments at least. All I have left is a final project and Reflection Paper. Yeah!! I will begin working on these next weekend as I am feeling really tired today and need to get ready for school on Tuesday. Tomorrow we have an "All-District" meeting and then a meeting at my school, so I won't have very much time to work in my room. Because of this I've got to do some prep tonight.
Have a good Sunday night.

Addition to the swingset
Bobby was sad that I posted about my toes and not about his project, so here is a picture of the swing set with extra guards so Bekah doesn't fall down the sides next to the slide. Also, next week I will post a picture of the chairs in my general music classroom. Bobby came in and scrubbed them for 2 days just for me. Thanks Honey!!!
Aphrodite's Pink Nightie
As a "back-to-school" relaxation/encouragement, Bobby and Bekah got me a gift certificate to get a pedicure. I've never had a pedicure, and I've always wanted one, so I was extremely excited to get one. The nail polish I chose for my toes was called, Aphrodite's Pink Nightie.
I think I will be getting these twice a year as a reward for getting through the school year and before school starts to encourage me to work hard. Thank you Bobby and Bekah!! I love you!!

2 sections and 3 days
I have 2 more sections of my first graduate masters class and 3 days to do it in. This is my own requirement, not the class. I want to get it done before school starts on Tuesday so I can work on the "Assertive Discipline" class while I am teaching. (I will not push myself to get the "final" assignment done before Tues. though.)
I have really enjoyed the class, and it has reminded me of several strategies that I learned in college that have been put on the back burner over the last 4 years. I can never imagine being a teacher with one of those life-time licenses where they never have to take any more classes to get better. I've already forgotten so many great things in 4 years. I'm really excited to start using some of the strategies again this school year, starting Tuesday!!!
I am attaching a couple pictures from yesterday, I think. Bekah is wearing a hat we bought in the spring. She found it and was wearing it around. It was so cute. If you're wondering why she's sucking on the ice pack, it's because she loves ice, and this is a lot less messy.

On the home stretch
I have finished 12 out of 15 lessons of my first video master class on Motivating Today's Learners. I am almost there. A few more days to get done. I have till April, but I want to get them done before school starts so I can start the other class.
Shots from today and last night.

Bekah and her water table
My New Classroom
Last year I shared a room with the band teacher. This was inconvenient, to say the least. I couldn't keep risors up, had to always move my piano, etc. This year I will not have to share. Yeah!! Today Bobby and I went in and set up risors and arranged a bit while my friend Jean (back from Europe) watched Bekah. I'm started to feel a lot better about starting school a week from today.

4th Post Today
School starts a week from tomorrow and I'm not ready. And yet, I have no motivation to do anything to get ready today. I think it's because I have so much to do, and I don't know where to start. I've worked on my rules and handbook for chorus, but I haven't done much at school yet. I also keep thinking that I have all day Thursday and Friday when I HAVE to be at school. I'll do it ALL then, right?
On a side note, my almost 22 month old has not taken a nap today and it is 5:20 PM. Hopefully I can push her to go to bed around 7:30, rather than have her fall asleep soon, then get up around 8 and go to bed after midnight. Hopefully.

This is Amy and Matt. They came to dinner on Saturday. Amy moved here from Colorado to teach at my school. Matt is her boyfriend. He's been here since last summer working on his masters at UK. We had a great time with them since our "other" friends abandoned us and went to Europe for the whole summer. :~)

God's timing is more perfect than Ours
Well, a month before we were going to start "trying", God decided that it was time for us to give Bekah a sibling. We were going to start this month, but I started feeling funny last week and started to think that maybe something was up. We are due April 11. We don't have any April babies in our families yet. But you never know, if this baby is like Bekah, it'll be born in March. This puts me getting out of school a bit earlier, before my last concert, but I will miss testing. :~) It will also give me more time with the baby before school starts again in early August 2007. As soon as the belly starts to grow (which I know will be sooner than last time), I will post some pictures. Please pray for us, as the first 14 weeks or so are a bit nervous for us since the miscarriage before Bekah.
Currently I am 4 weeks along.

A Huge Blessing
Today in the mail, Bobby and I received an amazing gift from his Uncle Dana. It was a digital camera and printer. This is an amazing blessing. Thank you sooo much!! We really appreciate your thoughtfulness. Because of this gift, you will all be seeing many more pictures of our beautiful daughter. :~)
The following pictures are, Bekah's new shelves that her daddy and her Uncle Rich (Yucky) built for her, and Bekah's new bed. (with daddy on it!)
