Last Day

Last day of summer school. Yeah!! Bekah and I, along with my family, leave for Florida this evening. I won't have computer access, so I'll update and put on some pictures after Florida and after my gallbladder surgery. Have a great 4th of July!!

Huge Weight Off Our Shoulders/Prayer Request Answered

Hallelujah!! Bobby started his first night as a Supervisor at UPS. This has been on our list of prayer requests for a long time. It means a bit more work, a lot more pay, and 4K per year towards Asbury Seminary, which means no more loans and taking longer to go to school. God has really pressed it upon Bobby's heart to get out of debt. We probably have less debt than the average family, but any is a lot to him. We have over 10K left from me at IWU, 18K so far with Bobby's IWU in deferment and the first 2 years at Asbury, and about 7K left on our car.
With this promotion, we will finally be able to save (we're been eating at our savings a bit because the teacher pay rate in Kentucky is lower than Indiana), and we will be able to aggressively pay on our debt. Praise the Lord!!
Thank you to all who have been praying for us and this situation.

The End of another Family Fun Day

Today was a good day. We slept in cause Bekah was up bothering us in the middle of the night (4 am to be exact), went to the library and watched Bekah go crazy at the sight of all the children's books, went to a small park where she practically jumped out of her carseat and went kicking and screaming back in when we were ready to go, and watched Bekah play outside in her baby pool and water table. And yet, at this moment, 10:02 pm, Bobby is driving her around trying to get her to go to sleep. Last night she went to bed at midnight and was still bothering us at 4 am. We are tired of being woken up in the middle of the night and being joined by her in bed, and tired of needing to drive her around to get her to go to sleep. (We still love her very much!! She did many cute things today)
Any suggestions on how to get her to go to sleep?

5 days and Counting

Since June 12, I, Paula, have been teaching summer school at my middle school here in Nicholasville. I am making some extra money, but I can't wait for it to be over. I am teaching all the Arts classes (PE, Health, Art, Drama, Business, Tech. Ed, Family Consumer Science, Music, Spanish and French, etc.), so I'm having to do quite a bit of preparation work. After tomorrow, I only have 4 more days of it! I'm missing the last day because Bekah and I are going to Florida with my family for a cousin's wedding. (Bobby has to work. We will be taking a trip to Myrtle Beach in early October after he gets his vacation.) It should be fun, but hot!! It will be Bekah's first time on plane.
After we come back, I finally have my gallbladder out. (the next day). I haven't had an attack in a while, but after seeing the ultrasound with all the stones, I'm basically an attack waiting to happen.

When we get our new computer and turn this one back into my school, I will get some new pictures of Bekah up. I promise!!

Trying Something New

Well, after spending months reading other people's blogs and not updated our website, I've decided to try it out. When I figure this out more, I'll let you all know what's been going on with us for the last 10 months.
