This morning, while I was doing dishes, Leah was the only one up. She had one of her many baby dolls on the bench of the kitchen table. She was leaning over it, whispering it the baby's ear, "I'm right here, I'm right here." So sweet and nurturing. And yet, last week, in the car, she was spanking her frog that she calls Kermit.

Bekah: Mommy, we need to get my school supplies! We only have like 5 days....

Me: Bekah, we have more than 5 weeks.


I guess she's excited for school to start back up already.
